Day 27, 28 & 29
Magic Carpet - Calgary
Day 27: Not a lot worth mentioning to be honest. We went out to a couple of malls, bought a few things like toothpaste and shampoo, got some photos developed... All really exciting stuff. We then settled down in front of the TV with some drinks and watched ice hockey.
Day 28: We headed out to the Royal Tyrell Museum. It is about 90 minutes drive out of the city, but we were told it was worth it. The museum is in a small town called Drumheller. There are these massive dinosaur statues all over the place. We couldn't believe the size of some of them.

The museum itself holds a huge collection of dinosaur fossils. The bones are absolutely massive! You see lots of pictures in books etc, but it only became real when you are standing next to these huge fossils that literally tower over you. We saw all your favorites, t-rex, triceratops, stegosaurus etc...

Later in the evening we went out to Bingo with Terri and Jo. Was more fun that I thought it would be. The highlight of the evening was Terri winning the huge sum of $40. Rochelle and I took home $7 each haha.
Day 29: Returned our rental car in the morning then decided it was too cold to go outside, so watched a movie. We did brave the conditions later in the afternoon to slide down hills on this slidy sheet thing, a 'magic carpet'. Heaps of fun! But got COLD hands.

That evening we went out for dinner with Terri, Rob and Robbie. Was really good food and portions so big! I finally got to taste an Alberta steak that I had been told all about.
